Been coming here since they opened the tearoom early last year. Saw the crab sandwich sign and popped, more a meal than a snack and you can takeaway too. Nice selection of gifts and on the way out an old fashioned farm shop stacked with jams, and veg I hadn't seen since for years. Good parking outside
There is a reason this place is called the old piggery!! The veg they sell is second rate rubbish, and quite honestly I would have doubts about feeding it to a pig!! I visited here in Sat 2 Feb and more than half the 'fresh' veg was soft and you would be lucky if it was OK to eat that day. I purchased a bag of potatoes and wished I hadn't as they all appear to be soft and only slightly larger than New potatoes. I have recently been testing local farm shops due to disappointment from supermarket veg, after this visit I would rather get my veg from a pig farmer!
